The respiratory system's main function is to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide. Doing this provides the body's cells with necessary oxygen to function and removes carbon dioxide waste. This system includes the lungs, bronchi, alveoli, trachea, larynx, and many other organs essential to our breathing.
